  • Outlook locks file after attaching to an email

One of my users sent me an email with an attachment. Once she sent the email, she tried to move/rename the file and it said it was locked or currently in use. She didn't have it open or anything and the email she attached it to was successfully sent but when she closed Outlook completely, the file was unlocked and she was able to move/rename it.

Why is Outlook locking files that are attached to emails and is there a way to stop this?...

Speech Recognition with Speech.py on Windows 7

I am using speech.py for a voice recognition project and it works great and is very simple. The only problem is that I want to turn off the Windows commands that come with it, IE "Start Menu" or "Show Desktop". It will run full-screen and I don't want a user to get out of my software and into Windows. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Start Process in Session 1 from a Windows 7 Service

I have a service running in Windows 7. In Windows 7 all services run in Session 0. From that service I want to create an interactive user session (in a session other than Session 0) and start an application in that session. My problem is that when I call LogonUser to start an interactive user session and then use CreateProcessAs User to start the application the application ends up running in Session 0.

All of my code is C#.

  • Problem with SAPI application and 4 core processor

I have a SAPI application to transcribe audio files with speech recognition, and everything worked fine until 4 core processors showed up. I spent many hours testing in different machines and my conclusion is that there’s a bug in SAPI. In my configuration (Windows 7, dual core processor, 2 GB in RAM, 250 GB in hard disk and virtual memory handled by the system) the program runs as it should. Same program, same audiofiles in a similar configuration...

    DB2 Compatibilty with Windows 7

Hi. I have installed DB2 8.1.7 to a Windows 7 system and it is not working like you cannot add databases wtih the error "SQL10007N Message "-1332" could not be retrieved. Reason code: "5"." I wonder if there is a compatibility pack or something needed for it to work correctly. Even the COntrol Center doesn't work with the error "CLI0647E Error allocating DB2 environment handle, rc=-1.
