    Windows Backup failed Error code: 0x81000037

    When running Backup and Restore to create images on Windows 7, i get the following error message:

    Windows Backup failed when trying to read from the shadow copy of the volumes being backed up. Please check in the event logs for any relevant errors.

    Error code: 0x81000037

    Anyone know why this is happening and how to resolve it?

    Biggest concern is taking backups that are corrupt and not restoreable.

          I got around this by running a full Microsoft Security Essentials scan and then disabling real time protection once it was done so that it wouldn't trip during the backup process.

          It worked, was able to backup the machines.

          The reparse point solution sounded like a bit too much work as this just started happening on it's own after 9 months of steady Win 7 usage.
