    local disk not opening

    Good evening.
This is the first time im using this site. My OS is windows xp professional. None of my local disks are opening either by double click or right click and open, it gets directed to open with list of selected programs available. How do i correct this error, what kind of a virus is this and what precautions should i take to prevent it from happening next time. But it opens with internet explorer when selected from the given list of programs.

So your computer is asking you to open your hard drive or lets say a flash drive with a program?

Like what happens when you try to open a file that your computer doesn't recognize or when you are trying to open something that you need a specific program for.

I'm going to move this question to the Windows section - I think you'll get an answer much faster that way.

        hi ,

the best solution to get rid off it is to show super hidden files ( system files ) & explore drives than you can delete autorun.inf files from all drives than restart your computer .

        hope it 'll work
