thanks so very much for all ur help. i understood the problem.
first of all my laptop has no proper drivers to connect it to a projector and it was the projector which was projecting the screen & in this case it was a widescreen cutting 20% of the screen.

hello,
i have designed an intranet website using asp.net c# in my laptop which is a widescreen....a nd when i project / run it in a desktop or projector 20% of the screen gets cut...please help me out of this problem as i have to put my project live next week please help.

Hi,
i'm using asp.net 1.1 for my project. I have a written a c# code where the user can upload his files through the file upload component which gets uploaded to the specified path in a local disk and these files are viewed on the user screen application using the concept of fetching files from the local drive.
I have taken a table to store these files in 1 column and in the other column i have given hyperlinks to download the... -

i actully din understand wt u meant...u mean the code im using right now shud work?
as i said it works but -
1. for upload it browses the file and uploads but works only with local drives and i donno wt to use or which asp.net ctrl to use in order to upload the selected file onto the webform...it needs database right...

hmmmm ya ur right i wil try doing it, but my project manager wants himself to get the direct access to upload his newsletter to the intranet site instead of taking the assistance of a system admin...
he wants it to work something like this - whenever he wants to upload a newsletter ( usually in pdf format ) he will first login - this login right is given only for him and once he enters he must be able to add or delete...Leave a comment:

The thing was i was wondering how it was working fine with IE 6 and with the .bmp image in IE 7!!!!

downloading more than 1 file in a single page
hi Frinny hope u'll notice my new doubt.
how is this downloading option given in asp.net? im using asp.net 1.1 n c# as programming lang and sql server as back end.
i actually tried it worked fine but only for a single file, in case if i give more than i file for download in the same page it gives the first file only for download it isnt considering the second one ....

im in problem again, it is stil not working im actually surprised.
i gave the image url (path) as ImageUrl="file:///C:\images\masco t.jpg it din work these are the other options i tried
ImageUrl="file:///C:\Inetpub\imag es\mascot.jpg">
ImageUrl="file:///C:\Inetpub\wwwr oot\images\masc ot.jpg">

not able to view any of the images

I am doing a project using asp.net 1.1 as the front end. I very recently upgraded my browser from internet explorer 6 to internet explorer 7. since then when i execute my program i am not able to view any of the images which i have used in my design page, though the images in the design page are intact and visible. local disk not opening
Good evening.
This is the first time im using this site. My OS is windows xp professional. None of my local disks are opening either by double click or right click and open, it gets directed to open with list of selected programs available. How do i correct this error, what kind of a virus is this and what precautions should i take to prevent it from happening next time. But it opens with internet explorer when selected from the...
