Honestly I don't think you are going to get very far with this. I'll refer you to these questions asked by Jos.

Is it a multi tasking operating system? Does it support light weight threading?
Does it support the notion of multiple users? Are you going to build a micro
kernel or a monolithic kernel? What's the process model? How are you going
to manage real vs virtual memory? Are you going to support virtual memory?
If so, what are the impacts on a filing system? Is it going to be compliant to any
form of POSIX? If so, does it support existing code bases? How about all the
GNU stuff? Would it run on your operating system? Any new ideas in your
operating system that people want to use? What existing hardware does it
support? Just PCs? What about other hardware and cross platform support?
(think about networks of heterogenous hardware) Is process switching going to
be fast? Would people like to use your operating system over other operating
systems with a large user base? etc. etc. etc. please elaborate on your plans.

      kind regards,

      Jos
Do you even understand any of these questions yet? If you want to learn a few things then I suggest you make an effort to understand these questions first (You won't be able to understand all of them now).
You are young and still have a lot to learn. Why don't you try smaller projects and get to understand some fundamental concepts of programming first? Most programmers out there write lots of crap code because they started "making software" without having read some very important concepts of software design. I hope you won't make the same mistake. If you really want to make an OS then you should be spending time reading up on all the questions that Jos asked above.

I'm probably sounding hard/harsh on you but I hope you get the message I'm trying to relay.

            Vace,

I'm sure that everyone would really *really* like to explain this to you but I think that they feel it might be a lost cause. It's like this, have you ever tried to explain the mathmatics of particle physics to a jar of mayonaise?

You can see who put you on digg, the person who did so posted that they did so above. Also, there are lots of people who would like to build an OS but its like trying to buile a cruise ship. It takes lots of people, lots of time, and lots of design work before hand. No one who is 14 years, and an "expert" in writing VB viruses can be taken seriously when they say "lets build a new OS".

Sorry to break it to you.

Well, there are other one's too but I think that is the most often referred to one. Maybe r0 has a special one that Google keeps hidden on a search.

If you need some images (buttons and stuff), just tell me. Even if you never complete it, at least I had something to keep myself busy with.

Relax, VACE... You'll never get very far in life without learning to laugh at yourself a bit, or if it's too painful at the moment to laugh, at least learn to lighten up just a hair.

Also, virus programmers make life rather hard for every one else who works with computers in a constructive way, so please don't keep making/attempting to make such things!

                                Kind regards,
