Setting up a wireless network (HELP!)

    OK this is my situation:

This coming Friday I will be getting Telewest broadband installed in my house, along with my PC there are 3 other PC's and 1 Laptop, making a total of 5 all using Windows. We are hoping to set up a wired/wireless network after the broadband arrives so we can all use the internet at the same time (the broadband connection by the way is 750). I am told that the Telewest modem is ethernet compatible which apparently...

    Trying out Linux

I'm interested in Linux. Mainly curious. What is the best Linux to use ( i heard there are many versions, im not sure) for someone who wants to mess around and just want something new to play around with since i can't play with Vista yet.
Something that is almost as functional as Win XP.

    migrate to XHTML

I'm not sure but I think I want to try to migrate to XHTML 2.0. Does anyone know of any analytical tools that look at your existing HTML code and tell you what is not compliant with that standard, making specific recommendations on how to make it compliant?
Given how much content I have to update, doing this by hand is out of the question. I need to write a program to parse my files and generate new copies for me.

My host computer is using Windows XP and there is no problems. My downstairs computer, which I'm trying to connect to the internet, is running on Windows ME. My problem is, the client computer downstairs IS recieving a signal from the Router just fine, but I cannot get the internet! I've tryed setting...

    Possible?

I was thinking of switching my old machine to linux and using it to try out linux, but also use the printer attached to it on a wireless network. Also file share between machines.

Is this particularly complicated or not?
