    Linux networked with XP wirelessly

    Possible?

I was thinking of switching my old machine to linux and using it to try out linux, but also use the printer attached to it on a wireless network. Also file share between machines.

Is this particularly complicated or not?

Not particularly. I run wirelessly using FreeBSD with no problems but I haven't taken the time to connect to the other printers on my home network where that printer is. But many do it effortlessly, I just haven't tried.

      Entirely possible.
Linux supports all of the major file sharing mechanisms that Windows can utilize.
