Display full timestamps in Windows 7 Explorer Properties

In Windows 7, how can I get Explorer to always display file Created, Modified and Accessed timestamps in the Properties dialog (eg Modified: 3:37:39 pm), without "dumbing down" these results (eg "Modified: 1 hour ago")?

Note this wording excludes obvious workarounds like using a 3rd party Explorer replacement, going into Virtual XP mode or a networked XP machine to look at the file (which works). Also "it's impossible" isn't an answer (because it clearly is possible if you look at the Properties dialog).

I'm looking for a registry tweak, Windows update, a practical patch, etc.

Full time instead of "1 hour ago"

I had the same problem. The solution is easy and requires no add-ons.
In Control Panel / Region & Language / Additional Settings / Date and change the Long Date to ddd, MMMM dd, yyyy.
Done

Hi, thanks, I had forgotten I had this question here but searched a couple of months ago (in preparation for XP's 'demise') and saw a similar (same) answer somewhere - possibly from you.

Truth be known though, I haven't booted my Win7 partition in a good half decade. It broke when I installed XP. It's such a shame the brand new OS I bought the day it came out will probably be out of support by the time I finally make the move to it! Had answers like yours been around 5 year ago, it would have made the move so much easier.
