  • Hi, thanks, I had forgotten I had this question here but searched a couple of months ago (in preparation for XP's 'demise') and saw a similar (same) answer somewhere - possibly from you.

    Truth be known though, I haven't booted my Win7 partition in a good half decade. It broke when I installed XP. It's such a shame the brand new OS I bought the day it came out will probably be out of support by the time I finally make the move to it!...

    IMHO it's better (than Vista), but still a huge learning curve if you really want to use it (rather than just play with the pretty features). Many of the big problems you expect are not there (eg old apps working), but the simplest stuff - like dragging a link off a window, viewing a file timestamp, installing an earlier version of MS Office, using IPX on the network - just don't work.   • Display full timestamps in Windows 7 Explorer Properties

    In Windows 7, how can I get Explorer to always display file Created, Modified and Accessed timestamps in the Properties dialog (eg Modified: 3:37:39 pm), without "dumbing down" these results (eg "Modified: 1 hour ago")?
