Installation Problem

Hi to all,

I have developed an application in VB6 in 2003 OS. When I install this application in some systems it is giving the message like "SetUp Cannot continue because some system files are outofdate on yours system. Click OK if you would like to setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files." if i press Ok then it gives another message box like "Do you want to restart windows now? if you will not be able to run setup again until after the system is rebooted at later time. Yes/No".


Can any body give the solution. For your info it is installing in some XP OS systems .
Looking for immediate response.

I think the problem is on your OS. This should be moved to Windows Forum. BTW, avoid double posting.

um ...as far as i know....runing setup after reboot is fine...im not sure what problem there is?

For your info, the same setup file is working on some other systems.

i also got the same problem. my OS was xp and it's pentium III. i made the setup from Package and Deployment Wizard. when i installed the application in next computer with same OS but it's core2duo processor, it shows the same error. what i did is i installed the vb in that computer with core2duo processor and made setup from that computer. it works in other computers with the same processor.

hi coolmind ! Thanks for your valuable suggestion. It is ok. when it is a single or inhouse perpose. But if it is sale product then what we need to do ? can v install vb in all systems ?

But it is not at all installing. If it installs then v can upgrade the dll files.
