I am very much a beginner and would like to convert a number of HTML pages to use CSS. Is there any software that would do this?

How do you mean? CSS is the style sheet that gives an HTML page it's look/layout. You can have HTML without CSS but CSS without HTML wouldn't make a webpage.Originally posted by DeacI am very much a beginner and would like to convert a number of HTML pages to use CSS. He most likely means what I'm personally doing with my own website: Taking a website that uses strictly HTML, and putting CSS to work in the website alongside the HTML.Originally posted by helraizer1How do you mean? I don't know of any program to do it for you, though. I personally would suggest doing it by hand, so that if something goes wrong you can have a better understanding of what in the world is there, and what needs to be fixed. Plus, from my own experience, many programs that do the work for you add unneccessary code and it makes the pages seem "bloated" in the way of coding (my oppinion there).

Thanks a lot guys. Seems that I'm going to be in at the deep end, whether I like it or not. I was hoping to do the initial work quickly, giving myself time to learn CSS at a nice steady pace. Oh well. Hope I haven't forgotten how to swim. Glub, Glub, Glub, lol.

Np it's what where here for, but might I suggest learning XHTML , do to the fact of it will soon be replacing HTML. If you have any more question on a project your working on, or a question on a language your learning post back anytime, just be sure to read the posting guidelines .Originally posted by DeacThanks a lot guys. Sup Deac, please do not double post. ( please read the posting guidelines ).
We try to answer questions as quickly as we can, but please do not expect an immediate answer, some one will eventually answer your question......m ost of the time.
So please to not ask your question more than once on the same forum section, unless it pertains to more than one language, then that is usually ok.

its cool next time go to your control panel.Originally posted by DeacMy apologies for the double post. When I looked for the first one, I didn't find it and assumed, in error, that I had boobed when posting it and it hadn't reached the board. I therefore posted a second time. Once more my apologies.
