changed over from original post site in .net, don't know if discussion will carry over

back to the real avatar question.
wanting to change the photo, and get upload of file failed. have we heard this before? though before it said that upload failed, the photo appeared anyway.

so, okay, here's what i did now

created the 50x50 in windows
clicked edit avatar
browse
entered photo file name: C:\Users\[name]\Pictures\2008\ avatar\dod-6
clicked save changes

also tried the same, clicking reset fields before clicking save changes --
still no change.

when i first initiated my avatar, there were problems that somehow resolved themselves, and the photo showed up after a number of hours. so no-one actually told me what was going wrong. maybe that will happen this time as well. it is 10pm PST. if the avatar hasn't changed in 8 hours, when i'll be up again, then this question will REALLY need an answer.

I'm not sure what the problem is...avatar changes should be reflected instantly. If you had changed it sometime last weekend, then there could have been problems, as the site was being updated.

Try with a completely different pic, just temporarily, and see if that works.
