as for question #2, i didn't explain it very well, i guess. didn't know the right words. with this thread, i can see our posts sequentially. in reading visitors messages, i can click on "view conversation," and see my posts and theirs in sequence. in private messages, however, i can only look at my posts, or the other person's posts, but can't get them all on the...Leave a comment:

now, i'm running into trouble making the transfer. oh, first, my pc uses windows vista, and i'm trying to export from yahoo to gmail, or import into gmail from yahoo, following their individual instructions.
i have tried it both as an xslx, and as a csv.

when someone becomes a friend, it seems posts are seen by everyone looking at one's profile page? so how private is that?
last week i was asking about adding a signature to my profile, and it was suggested that i send a PM to one of the administrators. how do i do that?

import/export address book
i have opened a second e-mail address, and want to get a copy of my contacts list in the first one, into the second one.
i have read the instructions provided by the new server, and i think i can follow them. but before i try it, i need to know:
will i lose the entries in my contacts list in the one account when i migrate them? or will there be the complete list in each account?

i totally agree that people don't need to go overboard -- well, they do need it, but we don't need for them to do it.

no kevin, it doesn't quite answer -- at the link you provided, it is stated that signatures will only appear in PMs. it states signatures can be added to posts with editing. this does imply that i have a signature in the first place, doesn't it?

what i am trying to accomplish is to save part of an e-mail, just the message and picture involved. then i put it from documents into a folder labelled keepers.
(it would be lovely to put it directly into keepers, but that's for another time).
first off, i mis-stated. i don't do tools>save as, i go to FILE>save as.

"documents" index
on my computer, when i used to open "documents" i would find a list starting with adobe, then my albums, my downloads, etc., down thru wsdl (whatever that is) and after that was a list of all my documents, in alphabetical order.
i just noticed that for the last two weeks or so, all new folders and files are listed directly following adobe, in no particular order either by date or alphabet.
makes it hard to... -

now that i have installed jZip, three previously zips, my new RARs, internet and jZip have already appeared on my desktop for short cuts, with a jZip icon. i neither need nor want these there. i know there is a way to take them off the desktop, without deleting them entirely, but can't remember/find it....Leave a comment:
