I need a free website builder

I'd write it by hand, but I need to whip something up real quick over the weekend. Can any of you guys/gals suggest a great (free) website builder?

What were you thinking of? WYSIWYG? WYSIAWYG? WYSIWYMG? WYSIMOLWYG? WYGIWYGAINUC? WYSINQWYG? WYSISLWYG? Or something different?

Do you automatically want to create part of the content? (e.g. lists of files?)

Oh yes, which platform should the builder run on?

    Greetings,
    Nepomuk

(By the way, german Wikipedia has a nice list that explains, what all of those weird acronyms mean.)

That's why I posted the link explaining all of those acronyms! (And don't worry, they are all spelt out in english before translated to german, so you should understand them. ^^)

        Greetings,

PS.: You should at least know WYSIWYG <:=> What You See Is What You Get

I like the mentality behind WYGIWYGAINUC.

ps: I don't know a free website builder, I'm the notepad kind of guy, notepad++ when I need something a bit more advanced. It's probably too late anyway.

Well, I ended up writing the whole thing out in notepad. I can't really complain, I like it better that way because I have more control over my content. And I guess it's good to "know what works under the hood".

Well, I wouldn't suggest Notepad. Try Notepad++ or something with syntax highlighting.

Maybe too late but have a Google at Drupal, Joomla and Alfresco.

Nowadays there are ample numbers of websites builders where you can create your own websites without having much knowledge of coding. Below are a few examples:
                    1. Wix
                    2. Webstarts
                    3. Jimdo
                    4. Webnode
                    5. Mozello

You can use Wix, Weebly or Wordpress.
