Why spend all that time researching and developing new software when you can just rip off existing software? It may sound off-topic, but Burger King does it all the time. McDonald's restaurants research every possible store location to find the best place to open a new store - they spend millions on this research. But whenever BK learns that McDonald's is opening a new store, they open a BK nearby because they know how effective McDonald's research is. So BK and MCD's both get the same benefit, but it cost MCD's a lot more. -
kinda like windows vista duplicating mac OSX,
my office just got a new computer that runs vista and if i wasn't used to the mac interface from school i would have been totaly lost. it kinda makes me mad not because i mind people stealing ideas from eachother but because XP was becoming a half decent operating system. I of course am too poor to buy software so i use gimp and stuff which brought me into the world of linux but XP was still good.

To be honest: I only use opera... It nice, very secure, fast (more speedy than FF and IE), nice features, very costumizable, built in bittorrent.
Firefox is nice, but very ugly and not very costumizable (in my opinion) (and I do not want to download a skin), slow
IE is ugly, not costumizable, buggy, everything but not secure, crashes every 5 seconds, extremly slowComment

Just a funny side note, when Burger King had their commercial for the Whopper, McDonald's Big Mac benefitted from the commercial. They couldn't keep a Big Mac in the store. The BK across the street, got a lot less business. (In Elk River). Other managers at various McDonald's reported they couldn't keep Big Mac on the shelf either. LOL Info was received from my brother who used to work at that McDonald's and had managerial friends in both places, and at other McDonald's.Comment
