    Since you are actually trying to open two instances of the application there is really no way around this outside of using VBA code to do it for you.

      I really don't get it but try this one also, Aric.

      if you already opened two excel program and trying to view two spreadsheets at the same time, right click on the taskbar then select tile windows horizontally or tile windows vertically.

      hope I got it right.

          I have Openoffice too! and it's portable...whic h means I can run OpenOffice without installing it. :D
