Anyone know anything about Excel? When I open an Excel spreadsheet the program opens normally, when I open another spreadsheet it opens in the same Excel window. How do I get my new spreadsheets to open in new Excel window ( 2 Excel programs running)? I'm using Office 2003.

If I remember correctly this is a windows setting. For instance if you have windows running to open new window each time it will open new windows application each time. However, if you have windows to replace current window with new one it will open in the same application.
However, if you are doing this in code it is slightly different.

I'm not doing this in code I'm talking about opening two spreadsheets in two seperate windows of excel. I want to do this so I can span two across two monitors and compare the data.
Thanks let me know if you have a fix for this,

Open any windows folder then go to Tools - Folder Options. Under the General tab change the Browse Folders setting to 'Open each folder in it's own window'. You may have to reboot for the change to take effect.

Try this one. In Excel, Go to Tools, Options, in View Tab, check on the Windows in Taskbar, then hit OK.
Hope this helps.

I take it back the Windows in task bar only shows that you have two excel spreadsheets open. If you check/uncheck that you will have two spreadsheets not two excel programs. I'll continue looking and let you know if I find something. Again, we're looking to have 2 Excel programs open where we can show 2 spreadsheets side by side ( think dual monitors 1 spreadsheet a piece )
Thanks,
