Better View of Report

Hi -

When people view a report in access they alway make report bigger for easier viewing. When closing report sometimes they click out of access instead of making report smaller and clicking out of report. How can I make a report that views large, but create buttons to have them close report only? Thanks.

use the command DoCmd.Maximize directly after the command that opens your report, as for closing as far as i know u can still put a command button on the report and set it's on_click subroutine to close the report eg: docmd.close

OOPS SORRY ABOUT THAT, was thinking of something else . AS far as I know U can not have a command button on a report close the report I may be wrong but as far as the DoCmd.Maximize will help u

You shouldn't need to worry about that.
The 'Print Preview' toolbar typically shows automatically when a report has the focus.
There is a (fairly) large 'Close' button on there already.

If not you can create a popup form with a bouton on it that close the respectiv report

On click of this bouton assign a macro that closes the report..
