  • Is it possible to reconfigure Windows Ce 5.0 Core?

    Hello everybody,

I have GPS Nokia with Windows CE 5.0 Core. It has integrated navigation system and it's searching Route 66 by default as navigator.

The system gives the ability also to read photos and videos.

However, i want that the system can execute every program compatible with Windows CE 5.0 Core. Also other navigators, that are installed on the SD.

    Any advice is appreciated

  • I think u should put in ur installation the respective fonts that have to be copied in \Windows\Fonts and also registrated in WinReg

  • Do u really need to run Access 2002 Runtime and Access 2000?

When there is installation of Access u don't neet to install the runtime!

It is assumed that Access isn't installed when u install the runtime! So in the registry there is some simillar positions!

The unique exception is the runtime of Access 2 that is very different and old technology with ini files and not registry!

    This...

  • Hi,

The way i'm using is to create my own table with two columns...

The columns are Old_ID and New_ID

Before syncronization u inserts all elements from the synchronized table there!

After appending ur data into the main table u need to identify using other field /s/ which id corresponds to ur ancient id /with Update action query

The last step is appending the info from the...

As u say this approach is good when u have single form! And u can apply it only in single form to visualize a picture!

If u want to visualize more than one picture in a form or in a report.... u need ur pictures to be in an OLE object that is bound!

I can imagine that u have all images as paths, so it isn't easy to import them!

so the only thing that i can help u is to show u the function that...

  • Hi,

I've always prefered to do all calculations and transformations into a queries rather than in reports!

The codings and calculations in reports are always not able to fit a big amounts of data!

Queries are always more performing! There is cases when query opens but report can't open giving an error Query is too complex!

So try to create a query on using shcool and class queries where...

Sometimes i've other pb: in All Fields it is written #Name and can't see anything behind!

And in fact also when there is no users and i'm the only one in the front end /back end database this prb appeared!

Check ur expressions! Do them sas simplier as possible! And expect the use of null!

    Hi,

I've had the same problem! There is long time that i'ven' t had it but before i've removed all heavy code and expressions.

Pls verify that there is no null data that participate in ur recordset and u check in it for not null data!

Yesterday just i've had this pb with Access 2.0! Imagine only! :)...

  • Try after backing up ur database:

Go in form properties and especially to Has module property

    Turn it off!

then recreate all events in ur form!...

    I think no space btwn DatabaseReferen ceNumberSet [AddedToOutlook].AddedToOutlook = FalseWhere [tblContracts].RenewalDate < current_date"

    and missing ";"

The Inner joins aren't my favorite thing in Updates...

But this is only at first view!

In this case in ur form u need a bit VB

In Form properties go in Current, choose event procedure and type

    Code:
    If me!FIeld1=Yes then
    Me.AllowEdits = Yes
    else
    Me.AllowEdits = no
    end if
me!FIeld1 is the name of ur respective field that is filled with Yes or No

I assume that Yes or No is a checkbox and not textfield!...

  • As I see u want to modify the backend database using the front end application!

I'm pretty sure that with ADO db can't be done! But sure u can do it with Pass trought SQL expressions - only u pass the respective SQL in SQL server directly to it! And it modifies the fields tables and structures!...

U need the form locked for editing and the user that uses the form can't introduce any info anywhere?

Or simply when user introduces record other can't do anything on this record?

    No worries man!

Simply create new table! Use the same Primary key in the first table in the secon one!

In relationships join the both tables using one to one relationship!

So for one thing u can manage to have a lot of fields more than 255!...

  • Using queries and limiting the access to ur tables it can be done!

So if u create for a group of users query that is available only for them /from the mainswitchboard for exemple/ u can manage to limit the access to certain fields in ur database!

But directly using access permissions! Id on't belive that is possible!

In fact, i think u should use ADO coz not sure if DAO present under VB!

Exemples of ADO connections are present in the forum here

    Search about:

    ADO.Object

    and u will find it!
Not writting now coz in my work i don't use very often ADO and don't have samples on my hand!...

replied to Ignore keydown while code is running
    Hi,

Usually when a subroutine is activated, the users can't desactivate it pressing other keys!

When the subroutine is executed an other is activated in function of pressed key!

I don't think that in the middle of routine, the executed one will be stoped and activated an other one!

at least the both can be activated running simultanely! but i doubt it!
