    Conflicts after runtime installation (Access 2002)

    Hi There,

    I'm using Office Developer and I've come across a problem. I created an
    installation CD for my application using Developer xp 2002 and it works fine
    but if I install it onto a machine with Access 2000 on it, Access reconfigures itself each time I use the run-time program. How can I prevent the previous version of access from reconfiguring each time I use the runtime version?

      This is not my area of expertise but from what I've seen in the past I don't think you can. I'll try to direct the attention of some experts with more experience in this area.

          I've come across something similar myself once, but I never got to the bottom of it :(
          My only suggestion would be to make sure all the software is up-to-date with all the published updates.

              Wouldn't bank on it, but an Uninstall and Re-Install of Access 2000 may solve the problem.

                  Do u really need to run Access 2002 Runtime and Access 2000?

                  When there is installation of Access u don't neet to install the runtime!

                  It is assumed that Access isn't installed when u install the runtime! So in the registry there is some simillar positions!

                  The unique exception is the runtime of Access 2 that is very different and old technology with ini files and not registry!


                  This is a game with the registry keys!
