Help needed with ms access forms!!! ASAP

Hello Everyone,

I am in a need of some one who can help me with the database iam building. I have student enrollment to distance program database with the first form having the general info of the student like stid, last name, first name, and a subform in the same form with the courses that the student enrolled. I have a click button in the student info form(first form) that on click directs to another form which has the dvd's info that the student had purchased for perticular course. My problem is that i need to have the student name, id repeated in the secong form for the perticular student i have in first form. I cannot do this. I will be greatfull if anyone plzzzz help me in this.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying you need the id so that you can filter the second form or that you just want to display it?

To filter it you can add a reference to the underlying record source query that uses the student id from the first form. If you just want to display it you can add a text box control use that to reference the id.

Instead of displaying the student name on the subsequent forms, you might try to put the secondary forms on tabs that display just below the data you want repeated. When the user clicks a tab, the primary data would continue to be displayed, however the entry would be for the secondary fields.

In the respective table with multiple ID student records have you setted this ID for the student?

I mean the table with the DVD's?

Create ID student that have the same structure as The ID in the Students table..

If it is Autonumber set it to Longint Indexed with Dublicates...

Than create the relationship between The table students and table getted DVD's

Choos the type One to maney enforced... when you delete an entry from Students it deletes the respective records in DVD s
