A few helpful hints
Go to Run, type in msconfig, in the last tab turn off any programs you don't need, for me I turned off everythign except antivirus.
Run Disk Cleanup
Run Disk Defragmenter
Make sure startup items is empty

If you are using it to host a website I would use Linux for security reasons the only real advantage of having Windows over Linux would be the ability to use SQL Sever 2003 or ASP, where as with Linux you would be using MySQL or access and PHP....Leave a comment:

Yea equiptment is key, my suggestion is getting a job with the equiptment and gives you the access to play with it. If you are not able to get a job doing this you can always rent a dedicated server from my website http://aeondomains.com and test it out their via Plex or any other remote software....Leave a comment:

It's easy to import the items just right click in the table area and go to import, but then you will need to select what tabel you want to import, if your access database is setup correctly this shoudl be easy if not, then you may need to alter either your database or your excell table to match up the tabs in excell with the tables in access....Leave a comment:

Well the best way to learn is get a job that requires you to work in that field. However most companies won't hire you unless you have skills. The way I got started in it was I was hired on as an IT PC Tech and they were outsourcing their networking. Treo 600 and verizon
Anyone know the correct steps to setting up exchange e-mail to work on a Treo 600 with Verizon. I am using it through pop now and it will automatically put the e-mails marked read in outlook. I have tried wireless sync but the password doesn't work. -
E-mail storage ideas
Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do about e-mail storage? Our users refuse to manage their e-mails and their boxes are huge. I have got them to use archives now but the archives are stored on my file share and now that is getting too full. Any ideas? -
