I am not sure what exactly you need. but this is what i understood. you are not able to open a new sheet and save data in it. if you could open sheet 1 similar way open sheet 2( Sheets.Add
ActiveSheet.Nam e = "Sheet name"
ActiveSheet.lots of options u get here )

you can store the excel somewhere in the PC and create a short cut of that excel in desktop. this should perfectly work fine and solve ur problem.

Is it possible to connect VB to IBM rational clearquest ?
I am trying to develop a tool which connects the clearquest and get some data from clearquest. after getting the data i need to do some calculations and show the output. Is it possible through VB ?
what i am doing now is i am running some queries in Clearquest and copy pasting the output to excel and running a macro to do the calculation. I want to avoid that copy paste...
