    desktop path using vb

    hi this is gayatri right now i am working with a project suing vb where i need to store the some selected information in the interface to the excel sheet and now the problem is that the excel sheet in whish i am stroring that data should be directly displayed on the desktop rather then any other folder and i am realy working hard with this problem and yet ia m helpless hope i could get help for u people its very urgent

    Hi Gayatri,

    Somehow vb doesn't work well with files stored in the desktop area, you probably need to select an alternative path for storing the axcel file. I would suggest the application path (the same folder where you place your .exe), as processing is much more faster. You can also place the excel file in the root path (c drive).

      you can store the excel somewhere in the PC and create a short cut of that excel in desktop. this should perfectly work fine and solve ur problem.
