    TimeSpan accuracy

    Hello,

    I am using TimeSpan to calculate the time my program takes.
    Here's the code

    Code:
    DateTime start = DateTime.Now;

    //**my code here

    DateTime end = DateTime.Now;
    span = end.Subtract(start);

    ResultUserForm.Controls["lblTimer"].Text = string.Concat(span.Milliseconds.ToString(), "ms");

    but the time I get in accuracy of 15ms....

  • I found the solution.
    The systems where it was not working had German language version of windows XP. And in german language numbers are represented in other format.
    134,245.00 in english corresponds to 134.245,00 in german.

    stupid vocabulary.

  • double.parse(string) gives wrong results on some computers

    Hi,

    I developed an application for my study project to do some mathematical calculations.

    In this application, I am reading from a text file which contains some numbers.

    Now the problem is that it works correctly on my system but not on some other systems. When I debugged the application on the system where it was not working I found that the method

    double.parse(st ring)

    is...

    Form Opens Slow first time

    Hi,

    I am creating a c# windows application.
    And I am calling a form on a menu item click which contains MS-ChartControl.

    My problem is that when this form opens for the first time, it take some time to open. But if I close it and click again on corresponding menu item then it opens instantaneously .

    Whats going on here?
    I think application loads the data visualization resources when it opens...

    Hi,

    I have a project in c# and I want to generate a help file (something like .chm file) using the xml comments I have included in the code files.

    Can anybody suggest me some free application to do it.
    I am using VS 2008

  • here are the details:

    1. the control comes to the catch block.
    2. custom message appears on the screen.
    3. when I press OK on the message window. the control moves though the catch block and executes other statements after that.

    but I want that the program execution should stop after catch block statements are done.

    Custom Exception in C# windows application

    Hello,
    I have a c# windows application and I am using a try catch block to handle some exception.
    I want to show show error in messagebox. but the problem is that program execution does not stop there.
    If I use 'throw new exception', I get that ugly windows default msg box.

    any solutions?

    Code:
    try
    {
    ...code
    }
    catch (Exception)
    {
        MessageBox.Show("Error:

    Table border issue in Windows Userform

    Hello,

    I have created a table layout container in a userform and each of its cells contains a label.
    I have set the table border property to 'single'.

    But the problem is when I Add this user form to relevant panel (group-box) in my main form, the borders do not show up. But I can see them if I Add->Remove->Add again this userform to the main form.

    can anybody suggest whats going on?

    autonumber

    Hello,
    I am a new guy to xml.
    I want to develop a application which saves notes.
    so I will be implementing <notes> root in xml with attribute "id"

    every time I insert a new node, how can I determine the id of the last node used?

    and how can I delete some node for a particular id?

  • I am using it for some advanced mathematical calculations.
    In actual scenario, a group of numbers in a particular sequence refer to some polynomial object. And it goes bit more complex if I explain it here.

    The List which is used to insert the dictionary item and the list which is used to retrieve dictionary value are being generated from different sources. So I'm facing this problem.

  • I tried the method you suggested but now there is another problem.
    I created a dictionary item with different lists. But now when I try to retrieve the dictionary value using some other list as key which contains the same list items (integers) which is present in the dictionary, it gives me error that no such key exists.
    I think its because dictionary is storing reference of the List and and not its values.

    But now...

  • Creating one List means? ... if you are saying about 1 item in the list, then the code is fine as it is of some use to me later in the code

  • C# Duplicate key error in Dictionary with List<int> type key

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a dictionary item with its key as list type and value as custom object type. It gives me a error
    "An item with the same key has already been added."

    Here is my code:

    Code:
    List<int> Pkey = new List<int>();
    Dictionary<List<int>, Polynomial> A = new Dictionary<List<int>, Polynomial>();
    // initialize A with last column.
