I found a solution for you. I had exactly the same problem with background repeat-overlapping in IE7 and in IE6 they'd show white where they overlap. After scouring the internet for hours on end (finding your post duplicated in multiple places) I also found a solution that works. (I tried many.)

I'm having a problem with IE rendering correctly. I'm experimenting with using all div's in my pages now, and I'm not very familiar with the quirks of IE.

I have created a sample page, and I'm really confused as to what is going on in IE. FF renders the page exactly as I expect. IE renders the page with everything in the correct location, but it seems to double the background image for a sub-div section that is moved up using a negative...

Is there any possible way to get the currently logged in (active) user from within a service?

I need the service to start at runtime. I need to capture log on / log off / switch user events. I haven't gotten to that yet, but it IS possible from within a windows service, correct? I figured I'd ask because of my current problem.

I cannot figure this out for the life of me. I want to monitor where a user navigates to in IE, and I've found code that will do this beautifully for the first tab in an IE7 browser. (In IE6, the code was awesome, worked perfectly). However, I cannot seem to get it to work in any tabs that are created in the browser. This is unacceptable for the project I'm working on, so I need to be able to capture navigation on a tab as well.
