Thank you for your response. I really didn't know where to place this question since I've just now found this site to pose questions to.
I went to the Tools Menu, did what you said. I've also done that before, but still have had problems with the images. Could it be that the person sending the message (with images) has a problem on their end? Just wondering....

Unable to open images in Outlook Express email
I am using Outlook Express 6.0 and lately have received some emails with photos or images that do not attach or show in the email. There is a box where the image should be an da smal box with a red x in the far uppr left hand corner. I've tried the "open picture" with the right mouse button, but that doesn't work. Not all the emails come in like this though. I've researched this with friends, but we're at a quandry as to why this is... -
I've never actually had a problem with that folder, other than to wonder where it came from, and was it something to worry about. I wonder how these "bugs" as I call them, get into my computer, with a firewall & diligent scans and virus protections run every week.
Thank you for your responses! I love this site!Leave a comment:

Note regarding the %SystemDrive% folder.... it was also on my desktop, and I cleaned up my desktop icons, deleted that icon, and now the folder is gone from my Windows Explorer "tree" of subfolders. Now I'm totally confused.

What is Windows CardSpace?
This is now in my control panel & I have no idea how it got there. Is it something that was loaded as an update when I run Windows Updates? I'm not clear on what it actually does for me. I'm running Windows XP
Thanks. -

This %SystemDrive% folder appeared on my laptop also, out of nowhere, as the above persons described. The folder is exactly as the last person wrote, and I have no idea as to what it is for. I don't know how or why this folder appeared. Can this be removed without destroying my computer? Where would I go to remove this folder? Any help would be appreciated, since I'm just a retired secretary, using my computer to communicate with my grandchildren...Leave a comment:
