    Recover my vista

    While i was installing LINUX i lost already my recovery for Vista. i need to re installing Vista to my laptop (LG R410) since there is no CD for vista along.
    Noticing: Just i have the product Key of Vista which is coming with the laptop.
    Thanks in advance for the advice.

    Did you buy this laptop retail? What country are you from? Did your laptop come with a CD that said recovery CD, or something similar? You can try to contact the company about how you lost your recovery for vista. did you format the entire drive when installing LINUX?

      I bought it from retail Qatar and i got it without recovery CD, just 2 CDs (LG drivers+for DVD applications) . now the matter, that i moved to Greece, and i was wondering if i can get the recovery of vista online "using the product key sticked on the laptop" ?!

        hey man...

        you should have burned a restore point onto a disc first...

        also you could have just set up linux onto a separate hard drive and then switched the hard drives over...

        but unless you have a os on the hard drive i know of no way that you can recover the info lost...
