What OS? What is the path that it is looking for? Have you tried to manually navigate to that path? What is the read/write protection on the target path?

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Also using vista home premium. My other machine, whcih also has vista home premium, gave me a little bit of a problem, but I've now installed Quick Time and iTunes on that machine OK. The error message is the same as Jenx gets, and you receive this same error message if you try to uninstall Quick Time
