    can i protect folder in usb drive.

    Dear sir,
    Please tell me the way to protect folder in usb drive and this will be always protect on every pc. what is the method or it is done by any software ? so please give the software download link or method to protect folder in usb drive
    i searched it in google but i could not find any solution. so please give the solution

    well it really depends what you mean by protect. As I understand it you can download software to encrypt the drive, maybe look into that?

      yes right sir, but i want it should work on every pc i.e. lock or encrypt without installing software on every pc.

        The simple and easy way without thoroughly encrypting the data is to place the documents into a zipped folder.

        Once the documents are in the zipped folder go into the folder and right click in the open white space to bring up the drop down menu. In the menu at the bottom it gives the option to add a password.

        With this feature you can password protect all the documents that reside in the folder.

        This is not the most secure solution, but for the average user this works fine.

          Keep in mind however that the file name can be seen as I understand it so perhaps you would want to make the names vague or perhaps rar the files before zipping them
