    go to the start menu and select control panel. From the control panel go to network connections. Find your connection on there right click it and select properties. Now look in the box under "This connection uses the following items:" and find Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click on that item and hit properties. This loads up your TCP/IP properties. The default item is Obtain an IP address automatically, select the use the following IP address and set it manually.

      Hi

      If you mean how to change IP address that you are assigned when connected to your ISP or if you are assingned an IP from a server you are connected to (within LAN) then please note that you can not change your IP address.

        If you want to change your IP address,then you can follow the steps given below
        Go to start->Run->type
        ipconfig/release
        ipconfig/renew
        You can also change your IP by resetting your modem if it is dynamic.
