You could always boot into DOS and use FDISK. That will wipe your hard drive clean of everything

I just want to highlight on drivers names on your computer. You new OS might not contains them and sometimes they aren't plug and play so it is better to write it down on a paper and then it will be easiest to find them on the net after your new copy.

            nowhere near enough info here!!

♦ is there anything on the computer that you do want to keep?, kids pictures downloaded email, cv's etc etc

♦ what have you done so far

♦ where did you purchase your computer from and what disks did you receive with it?

♦ why are you wiping the computer ( just to get some idea if it is virus slow running etc ) ?

♦ do you have a holographic windows sticker stuck on the side of the base unit or anywhere else?

♦ Have you already downloaded any driver files required and if not do you have access to an internet source you can download them onto a CD from?

Does it really matter why he/she is doing it? Along with holographic stickers? They asked a simple question, no need to get there life story :)

Well, if you have your XP cd, put it in the drive and reboot.
                Then just follow the instructions.
                It really is not hard.
