How to change drive to primary or logical

I have a hard drive that has 2 partitions. C: is logical and G: is primary. I want to make C: the primary. C: currently has the OS installed it. If I delete G: the computer will not boot up.

Is there a way to change a hard drive from logical to primary through windows? or should i use a 3rd party program.

Ok I used partition magic, and it worked, but the problem I have now is that it is still trying to finish the process by rebooting. So everytime it gets to windows it reboots.

Is there a way to kill this process?

          you used PMagic right?
Its not Partition magic who boots, I guess u are having (NT family OS) XP or XP pro. It has a file BOOT.INI which guides OS for Bootable material while startup.
you need ti change Partition=n parameter of that file. to understand how to deal with BOOT.INI please read about it Here
          WARNING!!! -
Dont skip reading It is must to read before you tickle with boot.ini otherwise you will mess up ur own machine.
