Fetching the List From Internet...

Hi all,
i want to fetch countries from internet and add them into a list box or combo box.
I dont know how can i do this. Because i have no experience with internet.

Actually i m building an web based application which is used to download pages, softwares and stuff from internet by entering the address of the page.
And to use the software the user must have to create an account on server.
And that is why i want to start by this mean fetching some information from internet.
