API Tutorial For Dummies?

I have no clue on how to use API functions.... I want to understand them, but i have no clue on any of the terminology that any exprienced programmer would spit out at me... does anyone have a VB08 tutorial that they could show me on how to use these? I already tried downloading a file from PlanetSourceCod e and it was a little too complex for me.... i need a beginners API kind of tutorial

I'd try wikipedia...... .they usually have good explanations on things....
By the way apolakkiatis. the snippets in vb08 are extremely useful and easy to use

I upload a MS Word2003 Document (Win32 API in VB6.doc) at the link http://www.MegaShare.com/352250 , it contains a tutorial on Windows API Programming in VB6. I think, it may be helpful for you. You can go to that link & download it, if you wish.
