Hey guys, I was looking around the internet a bit but couldn't find anything on my subject. I want to make an application that will be able to chat with another computer (over a network), in VB 2005 (Express). I kind of have an idea of how it will work, but have no idea where to start. Wondering if any of you would know!

I have something that works for VB6, can't say that it would for VB Express. Let me know if you'd like to see it. I think Killer42 can also use this informaiton for a Web Browser interaction post (looking for it). Fill me in.
In a bit!

Originally posted by Killer42Well, I figured I should get it right, so did a copy and paste.
(1) Keep NumLock pad on
(2) Hold down Alt key
(3) Type 0246 then let go of Alt key (that gets you ö)
For all others
Go to Start
Programs (with IE6)
Accessories
System Tools
Character Map (All accents etc)
Here's something: Looks IE7 does not allow us to see our Character Map. Lukilly I still had this on my desktop, loaded on form the IE6 era
If you're running IE7, please forgive me, I do not know how an umlaut or other accents can be added. What's going on here? Where did Character Map go?Comment

Honestly, it's not worth the effort for me to try and remember the code for the ö character. If I need to use it, it's already there in the quoted message to copy and paste. Living in Australia, it's not something I need as a matter of course.Comment
