Connecting to sql server from different machine

    HI,

I'm trying to connect to the Database from other machine this is the error message i get

(An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. ) but when I connect to the HEAT Server i dont have a problem.

    please help me .

    Thanks for you help

    Hi there,

I feel this is something related to permission, since you can get connected to another server in the network, why not this particular server? Ask you administrator to check on the permission. Good luck & Take care.

Are you in the same domain or workgoup as the server you are trying to connect to? If not try joining the domain or workgroup.
