Re: where is the new access 2007 newsgroup?

gee anthony.. you're just about informed enough to be an Acces MVP

I mean; you're oblivious to new features in Access..

just like all the dipshit Access MVPs around here
if MS nominated a SINGLE Access MVP that knew jack shit about SQL
Server then maybe they wouldn't have such a marketing problem.

As it is; MVP means that 'you're a fucking wuss who won't stand up for
    microsoft'

MVP means that you're soft and unaccomplished and lame and loose

I can't find the group.. when I was first starting in VB.net (gag on
the name) I couldnt' find it for the longest time.. I finally posted in
microsoft.publi c.vb and someone told me that I needed to use this crazy
      microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.vb

      what a ridiculous name

      it IS important

it IS a pain in the ass

it IS reflective of a major marketing problem... this is just ONE
SYMPTOM that Microsoft made VB 'take a fall' they threw the game

just like when the Chicago Black Sox threw their game; they lost a game
ON PURPOSE because they were betting on it.

      I AM THAT FUCKING OUTRAGED.

and give me back www.microsoft.com/vb while you're at it.

yes; there are more important things for MS to worry about.

THE FUCKING FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT THEY SHOULDNT HAVE CHANGED THIS
      5 YEARS AGO.

TAKE YOUR VIRTUAL MAILBOXES AND SHOVE THEM UP YOUR ASS, MICROSOFT

      Make microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langau ges.vb just a REDIRECT to
      microsoft.publi c.vb

The name is a bit long, granted, but it seems like a reasonable name to me.
I don't think MS's newsgroup naming scheme is very consistent either but
don't really have a problem with it. As long as you can find the group you
want to post to (not usually very hard) then that's the important thing.
Having separate newsgroups for VB6 and VB.NET is a good thing, otherwise
half the traffic would be completely off topic, depending on your viewpoint.

There are more important things for MS to do than worry about public
      newsgroup naming schemes IMO.

        Why yes, I could.
I could behave just like you:

        - I could start content-free threads under differing aliases and then
        reply to them.

        - I could fall back on excessive use of profanity because I have no
edu-ma-cation and don't have the vocabulary to adequately express
        myself.

        - I could decide that learning .net is-just-too-hard and it's much
        easier to troll.

        - I could sing the praises of PHP in a dot.net.vb newsgroup and pine
for the return to prominence of VB6.

        - I could fail to find (or create) the right newsgroup because I'm too
        stupid (or lazy)

        - I could decide when I encounter serious but civil criticism about my
misplaced grievances to simply just ignore it.

Yes, I could be just like you. But I'm not. Because I apparently have
a life. And I graduated from high school.

Clear enough for you, or do you need some of the big words sounded out?

Re: where is the new access 2007 newsgroup?

and the holocaust did happen.. I saw the 'work camps' first hand about
                  20 years ago...

I just don't think that they indiscriminitel y killed people.. and if
they did then they probably worked them to death

                  but then again; we did the same thing in America with internment camps;
                  etc.

and for the record; the nips killed what 30 million chinese? and stalin
killed 50 million russians.. hitler killed 6 million jews-- so why does
hitler get all the bad press when it was really the damn japs that did
                  all the killing?

the truth is that nobody gives a shit about japs killing chinese or
russians killing russians-- because they're considered 'less important
                  peoples'

no; I dont think that we should be propping up a failed military
                  dictatorship in Israel.
I dont think that the Holocaust justifies running in and stealing a
bunch of land and putting a little blue and white flag on top.

but I do believe that there were a lot of awful things going on in
World War 2... but I would choose Auschwitz over Nanking any day of the
                  week.

                      you're full of shit bitch

I didn't decide that 'learning vb.net was too difficult'

since i've been USING it; i've decided that it's too verbose.
and I don't need to subject myself to this crap; i'm good enough on the
database side that I can go the rest of my life without ever writing
another line of .NET and I can make more than 6 figures.. and never
                      have a shortage of jobs.

I've just realized that VB.net is slower development than what I'm
accustomed to; and I call for a SIMPLICATION OF VB on Microsoft's
                      part... and specifically-- of ADO.net.

ADO.net is just fucking STUPID slow.
ADO.net is just fucking STUPID slow.
ADO.net is just fucking STUPID slow.

make a dataset; it takes 30 seconds to do anything; load a dataset and
                      it takes another 10 seconds.

datasets are the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen; and there is
aboslutely NO POINT in using ADO.net for me.

I'll just stick with ADO 6- everyone does realize that there is a new
version of 'ADO Classic' that is shipped with Vista.. right?

use of profanity and education are not directly related.. for the
                      fucking record

and B) if you were mis treated by Microsoft -- as a contractor-- and
you had to put up with crappy ass software that crashed; maybe you'd
have the balls to have be pissed off also.

I know it's a public Group but really - what is the point?

You really *are* a piece of work, aren't you?

Killing 6 million people purposely in the death camps is no
"better" than killing 30 million Chinese (if it's true) just
because it was a fewer number. What makes it more horrific is
that it was a specific group of people targeted and they were
systematically killed, they were driven into gas chambers and
shoved into ovens because of their religion.

technically robin... killing 6 million people is a LOT SMALLER DEAL
                            than killing 30 million people.

it was really 12 million.. but 6 of those were those goddamn russians
                              and gypsies.. right?

why don't we care about the 75 million russians that died?

                              50 from Stalin
25 from concentration camps, soldiers and civilian deaths

                              Are russians less important?

                              we're talking about a factor of 12.5 to 1.

12.5 russians died for every jew.
why don't we barge into the soviet union and fix them up nice and good?

BECAUSE WE WERENT STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT THEM MILITARILY?
                              is that a good reason?

BECAUSE THE VICTORS WRITE THE HISTORY BOOKS?

it's all just a crock of crap

hitler doesn't make it into the top 5 list of civilian deaths of the
                              20th century.

to kill them off-- so that we could take their land.

                              Was that MORAL?

Why don't we run around; carving huge sections of the middle east so
that the Native Americans can have a homeland?

And we can prop the new Native American Jerusalem for SIXTY YEARS even
when they start wars to expand their borders?

And we go to war to prevent nuclear weapons prolif.. but we sit idly by
                              while the Israelis build them??

"better" than killing 30 million Chinese (if it's true) just
because it was a fewer number. What makes it more horrific is
that it was a specific group of people targeted and they were
systematically killed, they were driven into gas chambers and
shoved into ovens because of their religion.

and the holocaust did happen.. I saw the 'work camps' first hand about
                              20 years ago...

I just don't think that they indiscriminitel y killed people.. and if
they did then they probably worked them to death

but then again; we did the same thing in America with internment
                              camps;
                              etc.

and for the record; the nips killed what 30 million chinese? and
                              stalin
killed 50 million russians.. hitler killed 6 million jews-- so why
                              does
hitler get all the bad press when it was really the damn japs that did
                              all the killing?

the truth is that nobody gives a shit about japs killing chinese or
russians killing russians-- because they're considered 'less important
                              peoples'

no; I dont think that we should be propping up a failed military
                              dictatorship in Israel.
I dont think that the Holocaust justifies running in and stealing a
bunch of land and putting a little blue and white flag on top.

but I do believe that there were a lot of awful things going on in
World War 2... but I would choose Auschwitz over Nanking any day of
                              the
                              week.
