Automation error

i have got a typical problem to login to databse in sql server 2000. When ever i tried to login thrtough the VB allpication , it give " automation error this module is not available " . i tried all the possible way , even i have created login thru security by giving all the permisiion . is this problem related with any dll file if so what has to be done ...
