got the error:provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection

I m wrking in ASP.net and my backend was oracle bt when i am establishing a cncn it gives me the following error:
provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server

Please provide me the guideline tht how can i remove this error

I believe this is either a .Net or an Oracle question. I think the reason it's showing up a SQL Server error is because .Net is a Microsoft Technology. How to connect to Oracle db is either an oracle or a .Net question. Try posting this to the other forum and they might be able to help you.
