configuring ms sql 2000 connection in php in linux platform

I've installed PHP in my Linux Server. Now i wanna connect Remote DB Server (MS SQL Server 2000). Can anybody help me how to configure MS SQL 2000 connection support in PHP.

Then read the standard documentation on MSSQL in PHP in the PHP manual HERE . Where else?
