Make a form secure which accepts credit card numbers

I need to create a form which accepts credit card numbers and mail the details with the credit card number to my client.

I came to know that using SSL would make the form HTTPS and make it secure.

I have to develop this in PHP?

I don't know how to proceed?

Currently I only know that I have to make my form HTTPS (SSL)
and I have to encrypt the Credit Card Number and send it in mail.

So the transaction will be secure. And I have to provide a way for
my client to decrypt it and see the Credit Card Number.

Can anyone already had done this or having idea about this HELP ME.

Thank You for all your valuable suggestions!

It seems that no one read your thread or had any experience with this (I certainly have not). We are sorry we could not help you.

    Maybe next time.

you have to use encryption technique encrypt_Base64( ); at the client side to decrypt it [:)]

To use https you have to buy a https key from your hosting company.

I'm guessing that the HTTPS key is used on the server side programming for decrypting the incoming data?

I've only thought about this but it seems like everything would be the same as normally collecting data on an unsecure page. Once you've got the data at the server then you just write it to your database as usual?

(Sorry, more questions than answers here and I'm wanting to bump the thread.)

              I've no idea..
I don't have any experience with https, i only know you have to buy the key from your hoster.

              regards, markus.
