Your problem would solved by following code
[PHP]$vDate = "DD:MM:YYYY ";
$DateValues = explode(":",$vD ate);
echo date("Y-m-d",mktime(0,0,0 ,$DateValues[1],$DateValues[0],$DateValues[2])); [/PHP]
