    how do i find the ip address of a website

    hi,
    i heard that using the ip address of sites we can speed up our acces time to any site. can any one tell me how can we find the ip address of different sites.

    I believe there are a few methods of doing so, however my work computer doesnt have the access to let me test them. I do know for a fact, that if you do a WHOIS search for the domain name, you can often find the ip adresss and other information on the site of your choice.

    Just type in WHOIS in google, and it will bring up some WHOIS search databases. I'll reply again if I find those other ways how.

      The nice lady who made this site gives her software away free. I think it works better than a WHOIS search.

            Hi,
            karthi,congrats u became senior member in a very short time.

            In Gulf friday is a weekend holiday,

            come to your question u want to find a ipaddress of the websites right

            go to command window and type nslookup
            then u type which ever u want with full address u get ipaddress of it.

            start

            run

            command

            ok

            nslookup

            yahoo.com

            anywebsite.com

            u find ipaddress...... .......easy right

              MS command is not very good. You should try console2. It's free.

                    Yes, to achive the goal is good, but to have good tools is my aim.
                    I just don't like the way the cmd.exe works. I prefer a GOOD console so I use console2.

                        console2 works like cmd.exe, but has tabs for different consoles (working directories). In it you can type any command that you can run from Start>Run or Start>Run>Comma nd, for example, nslookpu to get an IP address. You can get "console2" from sourseforge.net .
