Doesn't visual studio come with its own .msi install package maker?

    Have you tried using that?

Use the "Publish <project name>" command from the "Build" menu. I believe it is called OneClick. Follow the wizard. You can publish to a UNC share or a website, and the apps will automatically look for updated versions.

Don't forget about the nullsoft installer you can't beat the price of that one...since it is free.
