flash 10 in wine won't install

It keeps telling me that .wine is NOT owned by me! I used Sudo but can't reenter a password because it refuses to let me. My brain is snapped and I'm beyond frustrated! My brain keeps spitting out the wrong info for my fingers to type! I don't know if using my actual password was the issue, or if I typed the stupid password in wrong!
    Help. Thanks!
(I'm suppose to be packing because I'm moving, but really wanted to get adobe stupid flash 10 working within wine because we need it for another stupid discriminatory site).

by the way, I did use
    Code:
     sudo wine desktop/install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe
Just in case this is helpful or amusing in anyway:
Adobe refused to let me download it without their installer which does not work when you are trying to install it within wine. So, downloaded it from another site. Of course, it did NOT download to desktop like I wanted it too.
So went through a lot of trouble trying to find the exe as 'ls' claimed file did not exist. I searched for file and found it, but when I look at folder, it says file not there. So I copied it to desktop from the search results.
After all that...I used the sudo command with a password that only the Lord above knows what I typed in.

      Okay, I did this:
      # Right-click on the downloaded file and select "Open with Wine Windows Program Loader"
Adobe installer popped up and "installed" .
And, when I opened FF back up, and went to a flash site, it claimed flash wasn't installed.

Is there something else I did wrong? My Mozilla Firefox.desktop icon doesn't even show the fox but I do get FF up.

Never, ever run wine as root. See 7.10 and 7.11 in http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ

To install flash, use 'winetricks flash'. See http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks

And for that matter, use 'winetricks firefox' to install windows firefox in wine.

              Results: It Works! Thanks!
I reinstalled Firefox, then flash, and shockwave and my brain cooperated and didn't snap. I actually typed in what I saw correctly the first time. :D
