    Which Linux suitable?

Which of the following is the best Linux OS for a Core2 Duo S/M with XP 64 bit installed? Fedora 7,Ubuntu or OpenSUSE?

all of them. It is more a question of what distribution do you prefer. Fedora has the rpm package manager and uses KDE by default, and selinux

ubuntu is more debian based so it has the apt package manager and a GNOME interface and has the motto: 'it should just work'.

Suse is Yast and KDE afaik. (not much experience with that)

But if you don't have any preferences, you should take a random and try it, if you don't like it, switch :)

Ubuntu also simultaneously supports KDE and Gnome no matter which you're running (it might even support both when running Xubuntu, I've never tried it).

It does - I use Gnome and KDE programs on my Xubuntu machines, no problem at all.
