Javascripts, Somthings Wrong

A message say to enable JavaScript, but they are. I can't use page with drop-down menu/confirm box or facebook.
I know the java-scripts are enabled, and even that they work. Because I did the Test.htm to see, but still simple things like drop down menus, pop-up confirmations boxes, facebook, google's or yahoo's drop-down auto completes don't work. I couldn't even post this question on that computer with the problem because the 'Post Question' button isn't there.(Had to use a friends) It is frustrating to use my computer now, because its my main computer, does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong or how to possible fix it?

what browser do you use? in case its IE then try to install Firefox and use this to see whether this browser shows the same problems :)

Its IE6, and I tried that but the problem is the window to download the Firefox will not pop-up for me to download it. Its rather depressing, but hey I'm learning to live with it. Thanx for everything and if you have an other ideas feel free to shoot them my way.

try upgrading via windows update to IE 7 / 8 and then roll back ,it worked for me once i had the same problem not sure it willl work for you too these sophisticated computers go insane and seem to have no regards for there own rules sometimes :D
