how to insert list of images by using div tag only not by td and tr tag in magento

please help me to insert list of images horizontally it is not inserting in my code please check it urgent.it comes under footer so ths s separate file calle

If you set the style of the <li> items to have a display:inline style, then your images should display horizontally.

For example:

    #mycarousel li
    {
      display: inline;
      list-style-type: none;
      padding-right: 20px;
    }
