Repating DIV Vertically / horizontally

Hi Everybody,

I am having some problem while inserting data into a div without defining its height and width. I am using database to insert data as it is a CMS website and its content will be managed by an admin panel. the problem is i can't asisgn height and width to the div. i want it to have adjust the width and height according to the data supplied to it.

please anybody help me in this matter???

I think you'll need a scripting solution. CSS deals with look and feel rather than behavior.

i heard about doing somehting like this:

width: auto;
minimum-width: 100px;

will this help me?

But you said you can't assign height/width to the div.
